Summary
👤
SeniorBarrett Golding is a media-focused mis/disinformation researcher and audio/web producer with over a decade of experience building trusted storytelling and technical systems for public media and nonprofits. He maintains the Iffy Index of Unreliable Sources and produces research-backed reports while drawing on a deep background as Executive Producer of the Peabody-winning Hearing Voices and freelance producing for NPR and Audible. Equally fluent in Pro Tools and full-stack web technologies, he has led web development at Headwaters Economics, contributed to WordPress core documentation and accessibility, and architected publishing platforms for public radio. Barrett combines editorial rigor with hands-on technical chops—mixing, coding, and deploying infrastructure—so his work spans from narrative craft to analytics-driven distribution. Based in Bozeman, Montana, he brings a rare blend of investigative newsroom instincts and production-grade engineering to the study and mitigation of online misinformation.
