Summary
🤩
RockstarBarrett Ruth is a software engineer with six years of experience building low-latency trading systems and scalable backend services, currently working on market making at IMC Trading. His internships span trading firms (DRW, TRB Capital) and fintech/enterprise settings (Ramp, Visa), reflecting a strong focus on high-performance, data-driven systems. Barrett has hands-on experience with medium-frequency algorithms, generative AI scaling, and HPC workloads on NVIDIA GH200 from his research at UVA, showing an unusual blend of trading and systems research. He moves comfortably between production backend engineering and performance-oriented research, shipping features that must meet strict latency and reliability constraints.
