Senior🎓
Top SchoolBen Caldwell is a pragmatic engineering leader with 14 years of hands-on software experience and a 20-year career arc scaling B2B SaaS teams from developer to VP Engineering at Ignition. He blends deep practical engineering instincts with people-first leadership, having progressed internally through senior developer, lead, and head of engineering roles to run platform and delivery across the company. A co-founder of two startups and former consultant, Ben pairs entrepreneurial grit with product-focused execution, favoring pragmatic solutions over architectural fashion. Based in Sydney, he’s a self-described “reluctant manager” who still dives into code and architecture when it matters, bringing a calm, measured approach to shipping reliable systems at scale.
