Senior🎓
Top SchoolBen Crevis is a Senior Software Developer with 11 years' experience building scalable, cloud-native applications using TypeScript, React, Angular, Node.js and AWS. He has delivered high-impact features across the full development lifecycle—from designing event-driven, serverless pipelines that process millions of academic records to engineering high-performance front-end readers that support hundreds of concurrent annotations. Comfortable leading in Agile teams, Ben has stepped into interim leadership, improved security by authoring a shared OAuth2 with PKCE library, and reduced latency by moving parsing to the client. His background spans enterprise and SaaS products, including real-world systems for police services, B2B deals platforms, and digital payments. Based in Newport, UK, he prioritises clean, maintainable code and knowledge sharing, mentoring junior engineers and documenting handovers to ensure long-term project health. An engineer who balances product-focused user empathy with pragmatic architectural decisions, he often surfaces non-obvious optimisations that turn slow features into near-instant experiences.
