Senior🎓
Top SchoolBen Evans is a pragmatic technology leader and CTO with 11+ years designing and delivering large-scale web, analytics and big-data platforms for Tier-1 organisations across Australia. He blends hands-on software architecture and development with product-facing responsibilities, having led solutions from CRM and provisioning tools to real-time analytics, metadata validation engines and AI-driven CCTV analytics. Comfortable across the full stack and cloud ecosystems, he frequently applies distributed storage, containerisation (Docker), Node.js, Spark/Hive and a wide array of databases (Postgres/Greenplum, Cassandra, MongoDB) to turn complex data into actionable visualisations. At Servian he drove rapid experimentation and helped teams adopt agile practices; today at VisualCortex he shapes R&D and technical strategy for an AI platform turning CCTV into business insights. He pairs an academic foundation (MSc IT, Macquarie) with a practical knack for shipping durable, scalable systems and mentoring teams through architecture, tooling and delivery trade-offs.
