Top SchoolBen Gladwell is a Principal Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio with 12 years of experience building scalable full-stack systems and shipping production-grade AI features. He blends deep backend expertise in Python, Postgres, and large-scale ops with hands-on frontend work in React and D3, and has a pragmatic history in Rails and legacy stacks. Recently focused on generative AI over big data at Swoop, he pairs tools like OpenAI, LangChain, and Pinecone with robust engineering practices (pytest, Pydantic, FastAPI) to move models into reliable services. His background includes staff-engineer roles at Mantium and DataRobot and a track record of improving and operating systems from the infra layer up—a skill set rooted in earlier sysadmin and CTO experience. Colleagues rely on him for solving hard scaling problems and for blending fast product iteration with operational discipline.
