Top SchoolBen Handzo is a founder and product leader with 10 years of experience building data-intensive, compliance-sensitive SaaS products and developer-facing integrations. As Founder & Principal of Setpiece and former Director of GovTech Product at Bird, he led cross-functional teams to deliver streaming data pipelines, APIs for MaaS integrations, and city-focused regulatory platforms while chairing an open mobility technical council. He blends rigorous UX and user research practice with hands-on technical execution—Flint/Kafka streaming systems, API design, and operational tooling—to turn complex policy and regulatory requirements into practical product features. Comfortable working with executives and engineers alike, he has repeatedly scaled teams and launched revenue-driving platforms under high-stakes conditions, including election-grade deployments at NationBuilder. Trained in visual arts and MFA photography, he brings a distinctive design sensibility to technical product strategy and user-centered compliance solutions.
