Ben Kinsey
Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorBen Kinsey is a senior UI developer with 12 years of professional experience and a decades-long passion for building web software that began in childhood. Based in Hawaii, he specializes in TypeScript-driven front ends and full-stack systems—recently shaping React/Next.js, Redux Toolkit, GraphQL and Apollo-based apps within Nx monorepos and AWS. His background spans fintech and crypto tooling, machine learning evaluation, and long-running enterprise recruitment platforms, giving him a practical fluency from database design to client-side reactive patterns like RxJS. Ben has taught full-stack web development and repeatedly modernized legacy stacks, so he blends hands-on implementation with mentoring and platform migration experience. A lifelong tinkerer who built his first website in the mid‑90s, he brings both deep institutional knowledge and a hacker’s curiosity for pragmatic, secure solutions.
