Ben Peterson
Principal UX Designer at Aquia
United States
Summary
👤
SeniorBen Peterson is a Principal UX Designer with over a decade of experience designing and delivering user-centered products and services across complex public-sector ecosystems. He combines service design, user research, UX/UI craft, and product strategy to create impactful experiences for high-traffic services like login.gov and new initiatives such as findtreatment.gov and a 10x venture studio concept. As a facilitator, coach, and mentor, he has shaped teams and organizational policy—authoring best practices as Product Owner of the 18F User Experience Guide and supervising design teams at GSA. His background spans consulting, teaching, and founding small initiatives, giving him a practical knack for translating messy policy and stakeholder constraints into usable, scalable solutions. He now brings that public-sector mastery to the private sector at Aquia, pairing deep government UX experience with a proven ability to engage communities in the design process.
