Summary
👤
SeniorBen Speakman is a Principal DevOps Engineer based in London with 13 years of experience blending software engineering and platform reliability. He focuses on improving developer experience by building tooling in Go and TypeScript, managing EKS fleets with GitOps and ArgoCD, and driving site reliability through Prometheus and Datadog-driven observability. At Workday he champions scalable, production-ready platforms while balancing speed, quality, and cost—aptly summarized by his GitHub quip “fast, good, cheap; pick two.” Colleagues rely on him to translate developer needs into sustainable automation and alerts that reduce toil and surface meaningful metrics. Pragmatic and curious, he pairs hands-on coding with platform-level thinking to keep complex systems both usable and resilient.
