Ben Terrett is a strategic design and technology leader with 13 years of senior experience building digital capability across public and private sectors as founder and CEO of Public Digital. He led the Government Digital Service design team behind award-winning GOV.UK and has since advised organisations in 18 countries on modernising services, governance and product-led transformation. Ben blends hands-on creative direction and entrepreneurship—co-founding Newspaper Club and earlier agencies—with board-level experience as a non-exec director, university governor and member of HS2’s Independent Design Panel. He has a track record of creating practical, internet-era organisations and deliberately makes space for more diverse leadership, having stepped aside for broader representation in design governance. Based in London, he also invests in and mentors early-stage ventures across publishing, legal tech and outdoors brands, bringing operator empathy to founders.
