Top SchoolBenjamin Becker is a freelance software engineer and DevOps specialist based in Hamburg with eight years of professional experience, blending a Diplom-Physiker's analytical rigor with hands-on delivery across specification, development, testing, CI/CD and application management. He designs and implements full-stack web applications and APIs, with notable work on robotics UIs and integrations to ROS, a Rust webserver for spatial data, and CKAN-based open-data portals for government transparency. Benjamin has led architecture and team processes on projects ranging from autonomous transport system interfaces to mobile monitoring apps, routinely packaging deployments as Docker images and automating pipelines. His toolkit spans Python, Rust, React/TypeScript, Flask, Ansible and GitLab CI, reflecting comfort across backend systems, interactive frontends and infrastructure automation. Beyond shipping features he raises test coverage and streamlines operations, often acting as the bridge between clients, operators and developers. He brings a rare combination of acoustic and robotics research experience with practical production engineering, enabling pragmatic solutions for complex, multidisciplinary domains.
