Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolBenjamin Collet is a software engineer based in Grenoble with 11 years of professional experience and a strong academic background in computer science and operations research from Université Grenoble Alpes and Ensimag. He applies algorithmic thinking and optimization techniques to real-world systems, drawing on a thesis-stage at LocalSolver where he worked on column generation for vehicle routing and reengineered a client-server licensing system. His industrial experience includes software evolution and maintenance for STMicroelectronics production management through roles at Sopra Steria, LENNATECH, and currently MathWorks. Comfortable with formal methods from a Verimag research internship using Coq and with practical tooling from earlier internships, he bridges research rigor and production-grade engineering. His atypical path—DUT, Erasmus in Finland, and master’s research—gives him both hands-on pragmatism and multicultural collaboration skills valued by industry. He is motivated by algorithmic challenges and bringing theoretically grounded solutions into scalable software.
