Top SchoolBenjamin Ellis is a seasoned technology leader and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience turning complex data and human behaviour into actionable products and policy insight. As CEO and co-founder of SocialOptic he has scaled an AI/ML-driven SaaS platform that blends big data, interactive visualization and people-centred design to improve workplaces, public services and legislation. His background spans networks, machine learning, data governance, privacy, security and perceptual psychology, giving him a rare cross-disciplinary lens for solving socio-technical problems. Benjamin has repeatedly moved between hands-on product and strategic roles—from CTO and resident data scientist to board-level advisor and investor—helping organisations adopt evidence-based decision making. He has deep experience in government and regulated sectors (G-Cloud and IASME certified) and a track record of translating research-grade analytics into usable tools for stakeholders. Outside the C-suite he brings an educator’s curiosity (Dip.Psych, PGCE) to product design, which shapes SocialOptic’s focus on human-centred data practices.
