Summary
Benjamin Gaulon is a Paris-based artist, researcher and educator with 15+ years investigating the social and environmental impacts of information and communication technologies through détournement, hardware hacking and recycling. He has created software, interactive installations, hardware interventions and open-source projects under the moniker "recyclism," exploring planned obsolescence, ownership and privacy. A prolific academic and program builder, he launched and directed Parsons Paris programs and now teaches at Sciences Po, École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay and CentraleSupélec while chairing Transdisciplinary New Media at PCA. Co-founder and director of the NØ collective and NØ SCHOOL NEVERS, he blends curatorial practice, cultural production and hands-on maker pedagogy to bridge research-creation and public engagement. Unobvious but telling: his practice consistently repurposes discarded technologies into critical tools and teaching platforms, turning waste into generative research.
