Top SchoolBenjamin Sproule is a senior software engineer with 11 years’ experience building and leading teams to deliver cloud-native, high-availability systems across finance, media, and enterprise SaaS. He has led multi-country developer and DevOps teams through platform consolidations and migrations using technologies like Kubernetes, Terraform, Google Cloud, Azure, Kafka, and modern web frameworks (Next/Gatsby), balancing hands-on architecture and people leadership. Benjamin has redesigned large-scale data and trade-processing systems (Spark, Cassandra, Elasticsearch) and introduced CI/CD and testing upgrades that shortened release cycles and improved reliability. Equally comfortable mentoring junior engineers and rolling up his sleeves to implement features, he combines a pragmatic focus on developer experience with a track record of bringing externally hosted products in-house for greater control. Based in Reading, UK, he’s known for spreading enthusiasm across teams and turning complex migrations into sustained, measurable improvements.
