Senior🎓
Top SchoolBenoit Zhong is a Senior Software Engineer based in Zurich with a decade of experience building large-scale systems at Google and Google DeepMind, currently focused on GenAI and previously on Search/Ranking. He holds a Master of Engineering from INSA Lyon with exchange at Chalmers and cut his teeth on production services during internships at Datadog and Mozilla, where he shipped end-to-end features and dramatically improved test coverage. Benoit’s background spans backend services, cloud-native infra (Kubernetes, AWS), data storage and observability, and front-end work for user-facing tools. He has a proven track record of translating customer needs into operational products, for example building a self-serve reporting pipeline at Datadog to help customers understand billing. Colleagues value his blend of research-adjacent GenAI work and pragmatic product engineering, and his GitHub hosts personal projects that reflect continuous experimentation beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
