Senior🎓
Top SchoolBerlin Brown is a seasoned software engineer with 17 years of experience building distributed, enterprise-grade applications across financial services, public health, and large-scale municipal projects. He specializes in backend Java and J2EE systems while also delivering hybrid frontends and mobile solutions (Android/iOS) using IBM MobileFirst/Worklight, AngularJS and JavaScript. Comfortable across IBM middleware (WebSphere, DB2, RAD) and open-source stacks (Spring, JBoss, Hadoop), he pairs performance analysis and web security expertise with hands-on delivery. A longtime programmer who started on a TRS-80 at age 10, he brings deep practical curiosity—experimenting with Scala, Clojure, OpenGL and machine learning tools like Weka—to modernize legacy systems and tackle complex integration challenges. Based in Atlanta and open to relocation, he contributes in community channels (IRC, GitHub) and thrives on cross-disciplinary projects that bridge finance, government, and public health.
