Top SchoolBert Hayes is a seasoned security-focused solutions engineer with 11 years in public sector and enterprise tech, now leading SLED solutions at Cribl after building that practice and driving streaming data control for government and education customers. His background blends hands-on incident response and penetration testing at Texas state agencies and UT Austin with commercial deal acceleration—turning deep threat-hunting experience into sales-winning technical strategy and seven-figure outcomes. He’s repeatedly served as the Infosec SME for public-sector sales, created tooling (from VirusTotal and haveibeenpwned integrations to custom live-forensics kits), and led teams that close complex POCs. Based in Austin, Bert pairs pragmatic engineering with a knack for translating security posture into measurable business value for high-stakes customers.
