Top SchoolBethany Seeger is an experienced software engineer and technical lead with 11 years building backend services and developer-focused tooling across academia and the public sector. She blends strong Java microservices expertise with hands-on work in Python, PHP, Docker, LOD/RDF and systems programming on Mac/Linux, and has led teams creating form-flow libraries and digital repository integrations. Known for clear communication, she translates complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and helps teams adopt open-source practices. Her background includes low-level C systems work for radar applications and deep involvement with library metadata and linked open data—an uncommon mix that bridges research infrastructure and production engineering. Based in Amherst, MA, she brings both operational rigor and a collaborative leadership style to research and scholarly systems.
