Senior🎓
Top SchoolBhavul Gauri is a research engineer at Meta FAIR focused on building and evaluating autonomous agents that accelerate ML research, coding and scientific discovery, with 12 years’ experience across generative AI, video understanding and production-grade ML systems. He has led large cross-functional teams and delivered 0→1 products—most recently improving ad relevance and adoption by fine-tuning 70B models and architecting an ImageRAG system that outcompeted major rivals. Past work includes scaling Reels ranking and multimodal transformers to boost engagement for billions of users, and building fast, bilingual NLU pipelines and recommender systems earlier in his career. A frequent conference speaker and mentor to 40+ engineers, he blends deep research (LLM fine-tuning, reward modelling, alignment) with practical ML engineering across PyTorch, FAISS and large ETL stacks. Based in London, he’s an open-source advocate who quietly pairs rigorous math training with product-minded experimentation to move cutting-edge models into real-world impact.
