Top SchoolBill Bensing is a creator and seasoned technology leader with 11 years of experience shaping software delivery, governance, and inclusive engineering cultures. He co-authored a book on automated governance and builds assurance-first tooling as the founder/creator of NAPE and co-founder/CTO of Attestify, merging policy-as-code with real-time risk practices. Previously a managing architect at Red Hat and architect/CTO roles across startups and enterprises, he specializes in embedding security, compliance, and audit into the software lifecycle to drive Business-IT alignment. Bill is also a podcast host and community builder who reframes Shadow IT as a constructive force and advocates for socio-technical solutions that scale. Outside of governance, he applies engineering to ocean farming, brews beer, studies programming language history, and writes open-source software—demonstrating a hands-on, curious approach to technical problems. Based in Saint Petersburg, FL, he combines entrepreneurial grit with practical tooling that “builds things that build things.”
