Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolBill Plein is a Principal Cloud Native Architect focused on helping strategic accounts adopt Kubernetes and enterprise data management as part of Portworx by Pure Storage. With nine years concentrated on cloud-native presales and two decades in storage and systems engineering, he blends deep product expertise with clear, customer-facing explanation skills. He has progressed through technical and leadership roles at Pure Storage, Diamanti, Fusion-io and 3PAR, consistently translating complex storage and performance challenges into practical architectures. Based in Austin, Bill is an “explainer” who pairs hands-on technical credibility with sales strategy—an uncommon combination that helps prospects move from proof-of-concept to production. His background in economics and early engineering studies gives him a pragmatic, systems-level perspective on technical and business trade-offs.
