Top SchoolBilly Kirk is a frontend-focused software engineer with eight years of experience building user-centered products and leading cross-functional projects from concept to launch. He combines deep React and TypeScript expertise with a systems mindset—comfortable designing front-end architectures and thinking about backend and performance tradeoffs. His background spans high-impact roles at Stripe and Coursera and now contributes to Era Finance, reflecting experience in both consumer-facing and fintech environments. Billy also explores systems programming in Go and Rust and experiments with Deno and Svelte for web apps, which informs pragmatic, language-agnostic solutions. A University of Virginia graduate in Systems Engineering and Economics, he brings structured problem-solving and product-sense to engineering decisions. Colleagues describe him as a pragmatic engineer who bridges user experience and low-level systems thinking.
