Top SchoolBilly Kong is a systems engineer and hybrid software/devops practitioner with 10 years of experience building secure, scalable infrastructure across startups and global teams. He has driven high-impact projects at ExpressVPN—shaping TrustedServer OS-as-code, leading GitOps and IaC migrations, and working directly with world-class pen testers and auditors to close security gaps. Previously he scaled product and analytics platforms at fast-growing startups, reducing onboarding time and incident response from days to hours while overseeing growth from thousands to six-figure monthly users. Comfortable from kernel-level troubleshooting to cloud-native automation, he combines deep Linux knowledge with pragmatic simplicity—his guiding principle from GitHub. Based in Sydney, he brings cross-cultural collaboration experience across Asia, Europe, and the US, and a track record of turning operational pain points into auditable, repeatable systems.
