Top SchoolBlake Polidore is a Senior Software Engineer in Austin with a decade of experience building mobile-first applications and data-driven features, currently contributing at Instacart after senior roles at Autodesk. Trained as a civil and geoengineering engineer at UC Berkeley (MS, 3.8), he transitioned from construction project management into Android development, bringing a systems-thinking approach to reliability, schedule and budget-conscious delivery. He specializes in Android and Kotlin ecosystems (Java, RxJava, Dagger, Retrofit, Espresso) and mobile tooling (Android Studio, Google Play Services), shipping consumer apps visible on the Play Store. Blake’s background in project management and engineering gives him a pragmatic edge in cross-functional collaboration and maintaining product quality under constraints. He is comfortable working across APIs, SQL/JSON data flows, and Git-based workflows, and has steadily progressed into senior engineering roles at both startup and enterprise teams. Colleagues describe him as a problem solver who blends field-hardened organizational discipline with hands-on mobile engineering.
