Top SchoolBo Zhu is a technical lead with 13 years of experience building secure, user-focused systems across Google and Meta, currently shaping Meta Accounts and identity experiences at Oculus. He led Google's global identity and end-to-end encryption efforts—delivering on-device Chrome Sync encryption, Android backup E2E, password-less sign-in, and “unphishable” account protections—combining policy, ML-driven defenses, and cryptographic engineering. Comfortable spanning system design, authentication, and applied cryptography, he pairs hands-on implementation with product-minded leadership. An open-source contributor, he has also built tooling to help users bypass regional access restrictions (e.g., a Chrome extension supporting custom proxies and multi-service video access), reflecting a practical privacy-and-access ethic. Trained in electrical and computer engineering at Tsinghua, SJTU, and Waterloo, he blends rigorous academic grounding with large-scale production security experience.
