Los Angeles, California, United States
Summary
Bob Fang is a Senior Software Engineer based in Los Angeles with six years of experience building production-grade speech recognition and cognitive AI solutions at IBM. He blends full-stack engineering with a data science background—holding an MIS from Carnegie Mellon focused on business intelligence and analytics—to deliver scalable AI products and client-facing speech offerings. His roles span hands-on cloud development, technical solution architecture, and data-driven prototyping, including work that powered question-answering for media content like TED.com. Known for turning complex unstructured text problems into usable analytics and interactive visualizations, he also brings early enterprise BI and automation experience from Target that informs his systems-thinking approach. Colleagues rely on him to bridge research, prototyping, and production, accelerating AI features from concept to client deployment.
