Software Engineer at Self-Employed
Ukraine
Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolBohdan Korniienko is a seasoned software engineer from Ukraine with 11 years of hands-on experience building distributed systems and web/mobile clients as an independent consultant. He specializes in functional and concurrent languages—Clojure/ClojureScript and Erlang/Elixir—often pairing Datomic, Kafka, and cloud-native tooling like Kubernetes and GCP for resilient backends. His background spans data engineering, real-time messaging and mobile UI stacks (Re-Frame/Reagent, Re-Natal), and leadership roles from lead developer to project lead. Comfortable across Python, C++, and infrastructure as code, he frequently moves between R&D and production delivery, bringing pragmatic design to complex, stateful systems. A detail not obvious from titles: he shifted early-career work in embedded and analytical C++ to modern functional stacks, giving him strong low-level intuition for high-level concurrent architectures.
