Top SchoolBoris Tane is an engineering manager and founder with 8 years of technical and leadership experience spanning startups and scale-ups across the UK and US. He founded and led Baselime before joining Cloudflare, where he now manages engineering teams out of New York after a stint in London. His background is unusual for a software leader: an MSc in Aerospace Dynamics and early career roles as an aerodynamicist and wind tunnel test engineer, which contribute to a data-driven, experimental approach to product and systems design. He combines hands-on software engineering experience from roles at Seatfrog and Qualio with CEO-level product and operational ownership. Based in San Francisco, he brings entrepreneurial grit, cross-Atlantic perspective, and a bias for solving hard problems teams initially feel unqualified to tackle.
