Top SchoolBorys Turchyk is a Senior Software Engineer based in Basel with nine years of modern cloud and full‑stack experience and a long history in backend systems stretching back to the early 2000s. He designs and builds multi‑tenant content management and marketplace platforms using TypeScript/React, Java, Node/Nest, and cloud services, while actively contributing to API and architectural decisions. Comfortable leading cross-team communication and mentoring junior engineers, he pairs hands‑on coding with process ownership and observability-driven operations. His background includes founding and shipping end‑to‑end products (DesignChallenge, Meetingless) and scaling high‑traffic services at Booking.com, giving him both startup grit and enterprise discipline. Notably, he blends legacy system modernization experience (Perl/PHP to Python/JS) with modern API-first engineering practices.
