Top SchoolBrad Westness is a Staff Software Engineer with 12 years of experience designing and implementing scalable, event-driven back-end systems using the .NET ecosystem. Based in Janesville, Wisconsin, he architects logistics and microservices platforms at Carvana, leveraging .NET 6–10, ASP.NET Core, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, Kafka, and GraphQL with domain-driven design. Known for systems thinking and pragmatic architecture, he has progressed from university enterprise apps to leading production-grade cloud-native services in high-throughput logistics. A Midwestern progressive and Brewers fan, he pairs a disciplined engineering approach with a taste for comedy and cultural curiosity that helps him communicate complex designs clearly. His background includes building interactive geospatial dashboards and regulatory SaaS platforms, showing versatility across data-heavy and compliance-driven domains. Outside work he’s as likely to talk about signal-based architectures as he is to debate the latest Brewers lineup.
