Bradley Portnoy is a seasoned engineering leader with 11 years of experience building and scaling AI systems in production, currently directing AI Teammates Engineering at Asana. He led Asana’s first agentic AI product from launch to GA, growing the team from 6 to 23 engineers while improving execution reliability to 99% and doubling latency performance. As a founding engineering manager in Asana’s AI org, he built and scaled a RAG/retrieval platform to millions of weekly requests, cut LLM costs while increasing throughput, and shipped five LLM-powered features from prototype to production. Bradley also runs strategic partnerships and model evaluations with Anthropic and OpenAI, and led prerelease testing on frontier models including Claude 3.5 Sonnet. He combines product-first engineering with rigorous evals, reliability work, and human-in-the-loop design to make AI that actually works inside organizations. Based in San Francisco, he brings a rare mix of enterprise integration experience and hands-on deep technical delivery.
