Top SchoolBrandon Hops is a Senior Principal Platform and Infrastructure Developer with 11 years of experience designing and operating large-scale, secure cloud-native systems, currently shaping one of Canada's largest container footprints at Arctic Wolf. He specializes in AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, and deployment tooling, and has a track record of turning hard problems into platform features—sometimes influencing AWS service capabilities directly. Comfortable bridging technical and non-technical teams, he focuses on simple, maintainable, and secure solutions while mentoring others to level up. Notable work includes global Transit Gateway network architectures, predictable deployments across hundreds of EKS clusters, and removing long-lived AWS credentials via SAML-based authentication. He also runs a consulting practice, bringing practical, cross-organizational experience from startups to enterprise environments. Based in Port Elgin, Ontario, he blends hands-on engineering with strategic platform leadership and a knack for pragmatic automation.
