Top SchoolBrandon Palm is a Principal Software Engineer with 11 years of experience building and operating cloud-native, containerized systems, currently focused on networking for IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service and now at Red Hat. He specializes in designing and maintaining Golang-based control plane microservices, writing robust unit/integration/PVG tests, and troubleshooting production failures to keep large-scale Kubernetes services reliable. His background spans embedded systems, server ops, and migration of legacy platforms, giving him a rare blend of low-level systems pragmatism and modern cloud architecture expertise. Based in Rochester, Minnesota, he’s comfortable across the full lifecycle—from CI/CD and Jenkins automation to public OpenStack integrations—and brings a hands-on, customer-focused approach to running production cloud services. An understated strength is his history of operational roles and documentation work, which helps teams move faster and incident responses run smoother.
