Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrenda Long is a seasoned software engineer with 10 years of formal experience and a long history of full-stack, front-end, and mobile development dating back to the mid‑90s. Currently at New Relic and running her own consultancy, she blends modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, React Native) with strong UX/UI sensibilities honed through app and product design work for children’s mobile apps and client projects. As a senior instructor and former department lead, she’s coached hundreds of developers, built curricula, and led teams—translating pedagogy into pragmatic engineering and mentorship. Her background in new media composition (MFA) and early multimedia/Flash work gives her a creative edge in interactive experiences and asset-driven products. She’s equally comfortable contributing to codebases, guiding product decisions, and managing client relationships and project delivery.
