Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrendan Morrell is a Principal Engineer based in Los Angeles with eight years of experience building high-performance full-stack web applications using JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Node. He specializes in optimizing build pipelines and bundle performance—authoring Bundle Bee, an open-source bundler analytics tool—and regularly speaks on module build performance at regional React/Node meetups. Brendan has repeatedly driven measurable outcomes by migrating legacy systems to SSR Next.js architectures, improving Lighthouse scores and contributing directly to revenue growth. He pairs deep frontend expertise (state management, PWA engineering) with backend proficiency (GraphQL, TypeScript, multithreaded Node processes) to deliver scalable, production-ready systems. Comfortable leading teams and CI/CD pipelines, he also brings a background in analytics-driven UX experimentation and testing to accelerate shipping with confidence. Fluent across the stack, he combines hands-on engineering with an appetite for tooling and performance work that’s often invisible to end users but transforms developer velocity and user experience.
