Top SchoolBrendan Roche is a sales engineering executive with 9 years of focused experience scaling technical go-to-market teams for cloud infrastructure, observability, security, and data platforms. Currently VP Sales Engineering at Rubrik after leading large SE organizations at Datadog, he has driven predictable revenue growth, built teams of 160+ SEs, and overseen operations that generated over $200M in net new ARR. Brendan excels at translating complex product and engineering roadmaps into repeatable GTM motions, establishing KPI-driven processes (utilization, POC conversion, technical win rates) and capacity plans that align headcount with pipeline. He has a track record of cutting hiring cycles dramatically, revamping onboarding to weeks instead of months, and embedding AI/ML tools into the SE workflow to improve qualification and solution design. Early hands-on roles—from building APIs and automations at TiVo to founding and selling a consulting firm—give him rare credibility across sales, product and engineering. Based in Denver, he pairs an MBA and computer science background with a pragmatic, metrics-first approach to scaling high-impact technical sales organizations.
