Top SchoolBrenden West is a Principal Software Engineer and team lead in Seattle with 15+ years of experience building customer-facing web and mobile applications and integrating complex healthcare and enterprise systems. He combines deep full‑stack and native iOS/Android skills with analytics and data‑science experience, having architected FHIR/HL7 integrations, data pipelines, and performant user experiences at both startups and Fortune 200 companies. As founder/CTO of a consulting firm he led cloud migrations and mobile projects for clients like Walmart, Disney, and BCG Digital Ventures, and he currently drives telehealth platform delivery and partner integrations at Transcarent. He pairs hands‑on engineering with people leadership—mentoring interns and junior engineers, hiring teams, and teaching computer science at Seattle Colleges—bringing a rare mix of delivery focus, teaching aptitude, and ecosystem-level thinking. A background in economics and Russian studies underpins his analytical approach and curiosity for cross-disciplinary problems.
