Top SchoolBrett Jephson is a product-focused engineer with 13 years crafting web and mobile experiences, currently building user-facing features at GitBook after senior front-end roles at Hopin, JustGiving and King. He brings deep front-end expertise—React, TypeScript, GraphQL and CSS—paired with practical full-stack skills in Node.js, Express and AWS, and a track record creating design systems and tooling (style-dictionary pipelines) to scale UI across brands. A former games and interactive developer for the BBC and multiple agencies, he blends playful experimentation (CSS/Canvas/WebGL demos on CodePen and GitHub) with production-quality engineering. He co-authored The HTML and CSS Workshop and has freelanced for high-profile clients such as Thomson Reuters and Google, demonstrating an ability to move between product teams and consultancy work. Based in Bedford, UK, Brett combines a creative background in journalism and cultural studies with pragmatic engineering to make interfaces that are both usable and delightful.
