SeniorBrett Mcmurdy is an independent software consultant with 11 years of hands-on experience building full-stack web applications, developer tooling, and hardware-adjacent projects for startups, nonprofits, and small businesses. He combines practical engineering—CLI tools, responsive front-ends, and backend systems—with teaching and mentorship experience from bootcamps, high schools, and university programs. His background includes HIPAA-compliant web work, hosting/security support at GoDaddy, and a stint learning investment operations at Merrill Edge, showing an ability to translate complex domains into reliable software. Brett’s interdisciplinary approach and history of curriculum development make him as comfortable coaching new developers as he is contributing to open-source solutions. Based in Mesa, Arizona, he brings a problem-solver’s mindset and a track record of shipping pragmatic, user-focused systems.
