Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrian Bascoy is a seasoned software engineer with 14 years' experience, currently building the Kaluza Smart Metering platform in Edinburgh using purely functional Scala and the Typelevel ecosystem. He brings deep PLT (programming language theory) enthusiasm—comfortable with Haskell, Idris and exploring Rust—which informs his preference for strong types and effectful, composable designs. His background spans AR/computer vision R&D through startups and product teams, giving him a practical edge in applying advanced abstractions to real-world systems. Quietly prolific across multiple companies since 2010, he blends research-minded rigor with production-grade engineering to deliver reliable, maintainable distributed software.
