Top SchoolBrian Behrens is a Staff Software Engineer in Los Angeles with over a decade of hands-on experience crafting interactive websites, social campaigns, and web-based applications since 2003. He blends strong interaction design instincts with practical expertise in web standards, usability, animation, video, e-commerce, and application architecture, driving both front-end polish and robust system design. Brian has progressed through senior engineering roles at agencies and product companies—including REI, VideoAmp, and Surfline/Wavetrak—where he focuses on solving complex problems and telling product stories through code. Equally comfortable prototyping delightful animations as he is shaping scalable application architectures, he brings a maker’s curiosity informed by a background in television/video production and visual communications. Outside work he channels his creative eye into photography and surfing, which influence his user-centered approach to design and interaction.
