Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolBrian Chan is a Business Intelligence Engineer with nine years of experience translating complex data into actionable insights across tech, finance, and government sectors. He combines a Master's in Management Analytics with hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, Tableau, and ETL design to build self-serve reporting and performance dashboards that improve operations and reduce manual reporting. At Shopify and Sun Life he delivered dashboards and ETLs that enabled proactive outreach, simulated service impacts, and cut report fragmentation, and he now applies that product-focused analytics mindset at Amazon. His background in nanotechnology research and lab analytics gives him an unusual edge in experimental rigor and problem decomposition when tackling messy data. Brian blends technical execution with stakeholder empathy—training teams, troubleshooting pipelines, and turning analytics into measurable business improvements. Outside work he explores creative ideas (and bad puns), reflecting a curiosity that drives continuous learning and pragmatic innovation.
