Top SchoolBrian Cohan is a fire protection engineer and software-minded owner who blends 11+ years of hands-on engineering with a passion for automation and modeling. As Technical Director at GHD and founder of PBD Tools, he focuses on making fire and egress modeling faster, cheaper, and less tedious by automating repetitive tasks and streamlining data processing. Trained at University of Maryland (B.S. and M.S. in Fire Protection Engineering), he turned a curiosity for programming into a specialty that shrinks weeks-long workflows into days. Pragmatic and detail-oriented, he pairs domain expertise with scripting and tooling know-how to make complex models more useful and repeatable for project teams. Non-obvious strength: he’s equally comfortable interpreting model results and building the small utilities that save teams countless hours.
