Top SchoolBrian Curcio is a Data Engineer and operations research specialist with 13 years of experience building large-scale data architectures, analytical models, and optimization algorithms to drive data-driven decisions. He combines academic rigor—as a PhD researcher in combinatorial optimization and long-time head TA in algorithms—with hands-on industry delivery, from consulting on energy and logistics projects to engineering roles at Microsoft, Google, and Flashbots. His work spans cloud-based Big Data pipelines, mathematical modeling, and production-ready machine learning, with notable projects modeling EV battery reservoirs and industrial process optimization. Comfortable moving between theory and practice, he mentors instructors and engineers alike and brings a knack for applying advanced polyhedral and branch-and-cut techniques to real-world resource-allocation problems.
