Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrian Deshong is a Principal Engineer with over a decade of experience architecting and shipping scalable, high-performance web and cloud systems across startups and mid-stage companies. He blends hands-on implementation (PHP, Go, Python, TypeScript, React, iOS) with systems-level expertise in Linux, MySQL/Oracle, and AWS to move products from zero to MVP and evolve them into resilient platforms. As an engineering leader he has grown teams, led Agile transformations, established QA and CI practices, and maintained PCI Level 1 compliance for high-volume transaction systems. Notable technical work includes architecting parallelized photo ZIP generation at scale, designing payments and invoicing systems, and operating complex AWS stacks leveraging Aurora, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis and EFS. Now building startups rapidly at Struck Studio while previously shaping a Payments-as-a-Service platform at Rainforest, he pairs pragmatic delivery ("ship early and often") with a long history of tuning systems for performance. Based in Alpharetta, GA, he quietly combines deep legacy Unix administration skills with modern cloud-native engineering.
