Top SchoolBrian Hamachek is a Silicon Valley–bred technology executive and founder with 12 years of documented experience building consumer and cloud-scale products from mobile apps to stateful container storage. He wrote his first code at seven, studied computer science at Stanford while still in middle school, and went on to lead startups and product initiatives that reached tens of millions of users—most notably growing Nearby to 13 million users and helping Portworx and StorSimple reach successful acquisitions. As CEO of Vently he blends product-first community thinking with deep systems experience gained at Microsoft/Azure and enterprise roles at HP and McKesson. Equally comfortable founding companies and shipping core infrastructure, he has repeatedly turned early technical bets (mobile, cloud storage, location-based social) into market traction. Known for mentoring founders and advising startups across healthcare, social, and storage domains, he combines entrepreneurial instinct with hands-on engineering leadership.
