Top SchoolBrian Mallett is an Information Technology Support Analyst with a decade of hands-on experience blending engineering discipline and web development expertise, particularly in CMS-driven sites using ExpressionEngine. He moved from manufacturing and design roles into IT and web development, founding Black Belt Designs to deliver interactive front-end experiences and contribute to the EE community. Brian pairs practical system engineering and support work at organizations like Ascent Resources and Piedmont Public Schools with a developer’s mindset—using JavaScript (primarily jQuery) and PHP to prototype tooling and automate workflows. His background in CNC programming, manufacturing systems, and inventory tooling gives him a unique appreciation for process, documentation, and operational reliability. Based in Edmond, Oklahoma, he thrives on turning hobbyist curiosity into production-ready solutions and often bridges gaps between legacy systems and modern CMS architectures.
