Senior🎓
Top SchoolBrian Mclaren is a front-end engineer with nine years of experience crafting high-stakes web experiences where performance, accessibility, and compliance are non-negotiable. He spent nearly five years as one of three engineers owning MSKCC.org, building a Storybook-driven component library, rolling out WCAG 2.1 AA remediations, and engineering a geolocation-aware cookie consent system for HIPAA/GDPR compliance. Brian combines an Industrial Design background with strong React, TypeScript, and Next.js skills to think in user flows and outcomes rather than isolated components, and he’s rebuilt critical auth and checkout flows to measurably improve conversions at Consumer Reports and 1-800-Flowers. Most recently he built HeatCheck, a solo-built, full-stack real-time NBA trading platform (data pipeline, auth, UI) that integrates AI-driven sentiment signals and serverless AWS/Vercel infrastructure. He’s seeking roles where frontend engineering tackles the hardest product problems—fintech, sports tech, or SaaS—working close to customers and metrics.
